WHO IS TEAM PAGEL?

Hey ya’ll! Welcome to Team Pagel. We’re Matt and Kelsey Pagel. We are a married couple (since 2013!) that is living our dreams farming and ranching with Matt’s family in beautiful Northeast Kansas. We talk all things marriage, farming and living life here. This picture, while making photographers everywhere cringe, describes our crazy life pretty perfectly. We are two very imperfect people that are committed to each other. Often cows get between us. There are storms that go through life, but they usually result in beautiful rainbows.

Who is Team Pagel’s content for?

Team Pagel was born out of a desire for Kelsey, me!, to have a creative outlet for writing. I will focus on the two things that I am most passionate about: 1. My marriage and the intentionality it takes to keep the marriage strong and 2. Agriculture-why we live this crazy lifestyle and what it is that farmers actually do.

Who is Matt?

Matt (My Forever) grew up on a family farm. His grandparents started the farm. We have cow/calf pairs, row crops (corn and soybeans), cover crops, brome seed and hay. There are three generations involved in the farm. My Forever loves fixing all things. He loves taking things apart and improving them. He loves working in the shop creating. But he also loves running equipment. It amazes me how he can figure anything out.

Who is Kelsey?

Kelsey grew up on a family farm that her parents (neither worked off the farm) started from ground zero. They got married later in life and had kids later in life than most do. They built their operation with very little outside help while raising three daughters. They were married, business partners, financial partners, parenting partners and all the things thrown in there. It was stressful and it was hard. It’s where my two older sisters and I learned our work ethic, that life isn’t fair and things do not get handed to you.

Thank you for your support of Team Pagel. We strive to be consistent and provide content that is useful, tangible and implementable. If you ever have any requests, please send them our way!

WHO IS THIS BLOG FOR?

The first thing I wanna know when I find any new blog, podcast, book, etc is who the person is that is writing and why should I listen to them. Next, I want to know what the content is to see if it’s even applicable to me.

We’ve just explained who we are. Now, I want to let you know who this blog is designed for. Honestly, it’s for people that are married (or want to work on relationships), people that care about where their food comes from and people that don’t mind just a bit of sarcasm and a whole lot of honest, open truth bombs from a woman that is trying to figure this life out while constantly falling on her face.

We’re going to talk about all things marriage. The great, good, bad and worse. We’re going to go from how to communicate effectively to how to have better sex. I don’t hold a lot of things back and am pretty honest and open.

We’re going to talk about all things farming. I’m so passionate about sharing about agriculture and what, why and how we do everything on our farm.

Does that mean if you’re a single man that doesn’t ever plan on getting married or being in a relationship, this blog isn’t for you? No. I hope you’ll find some interesting things in the farming section or the random thoughts section.

If you’re a vegetarian, does that mean Team Pagel isn’t for you? No. I fully believe in what we’re doing on our farm. I also firmly believe in choice and making your own decisions. If you only want to eat organic, fine! You do you sweetheart and I’ll do me. (I really believe that!) That doesn’t mean you can’t find some useful things to use in your marriage or finances or what a particular label means. We are so blessed to be able to have so many choices and opportunities in front of us. I’m so happy we have these choices. Just because we don’t make the same choices doesn’t mean I don’t love you! Ya’ll this life is hard enough without hating on each other. You do you and I’ll do me!

Honestly I just want to help someone get through their day a little easier. A small nugget you got from one of the posts, that helps you make the choice at the grocery store a little easier or a tactic to use the next time you want to punch your husband in the face.

This is Team Pagel, but in all reality I’m (Kelsey) going to do 99.9% of the content writing. It’s going to be written from a female perspective with strong opinions and values. I love you all. If this blog isn’t for you, I’m gonna be okay! I hope you stick around and give me a chance. If you don’t agree and want to chat about it, I’m all game as long as it’s a respectful conversation.

Remember you are loved, you are worthy and you are enough!
